Kibibi's diet consists mostly of veggies and fruits. But she also gets some junk food (nuts, seeds, etc) tucked into a variety of foraging items to keep her entertained. In addition to these 'junk food' items, I also tuck a couple pellets into her foraging items. She'll eat most of the major bird food pellet brands but I prefer to give her Harrisons. Why Harrisons? Mostly because that's what she was being fed when I brought her into my home and because it seems to be a good pellet (as far as pellets go).
One bad thing about Harrison's, is that it is one of the more expensive brands. But I consider it to be worth the extra cost. But as always, cutting costs for maintaining Kibibi's high maintenance life style is a constant struggle. So when it's time to order pellets, I always shop around. And prices seem to fluctuate from online store to store and from time to time. So to make my bargain shopping easier (and yours), I've decided to keep track of some of the pricing that I find each time I purchase Harrison's pellets. The results below are for Regular Priced (not on sale) 5lb Bags of Harrisons Adult Lifetime Course.
As you can see in the pricing, some online stores charge significantly more for shipping. While this is partly due to the shippers location, it's also a way for online stores to add to their profit margin while appearing to keep their price low. So keep in mind that the total price should be used to compare online store prices but the total price may vary depending on your "Ship To" location.
